The Powerhouse of Red & White Cheerleading Program to Host Sixth Annual Cheer Explosion

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State University Powerhouse of Red & White Cheerleading Program will once again hold one of the biggest cheerleading camps in the Piedmont Triand when they host the sixth annual Winston-Salem State University Cheer Explosion from July 26-30th. The individual skills camp will include five days of instruction at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.

"I am excited to announce that Cheer Explosion will continue this summer," WSSU Director of Cheerleading Operation Joevanne Estrada said. "Our camp has been such a success throughout the years because of the participants and its supporters."

The camp is open to participants ages 4-17 with instruction being provided by certified instructors. The camp will begin at 8:00 a.m. with a 4:00 p.m. pickup. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided for participants from Tuesday, July 26th to Friday, July 29th. The price of the camp is $100 per child before July 26th and $125 on the day of registration.

The highlight of the camp will be a talent showcase at the C.E. Gaines Center on the campus of Winston-Salem State University at 2:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon.
