WSSU's WyKevin Bazemore Selected AS CIAA Player/Rookie of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Winston-Salem State University freshman, WyKevin Bazemore, has been chosen as this week's CIAA Player and Rookie of the Week for his performances against Virginia state and Virginia Union.

Bazemore (Fr, Forward, 6-4, 185, Kelford, NC) averaged 19.0 points and 12.5 rebounds in the two games over the weekend.  He had a breakout game in leading the WSSU Rams to a thrilling 67-66 win over Virginia Union, where his free throw with four seconds remaining lifted the Rams to the victory.  His 24 points and 17 rebounds against Virginia Union are all career highs.

The Winston-Salem State University Rams are coming off of two consecutive wins to start the CIAA Conference play, and host the #15 ranked Bowie State University Bulldogs tonight at 7:30pm in the CE Gaines Center.
