WSSU Rams Basketball Releases Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM - NC - The WSSU Rams men's basketball office has released the 2017-18 schedule, and will host 15 games in the CE Gaines Center this season.

The Rams will open the season with a three game home stand hosting Clarion University on November 10th, Concord University on November 11th and Piedmont International on November 14th.

WSSU will then participate in the Shaw University Tournament on November 17 & 18th, where they will play Morehouse and Fort Valley State, before returning to the Gaines Center on November 21st to host Catawba College.

The end of November will see the Rams hit the road for Elizabeth City State on November 25th and then they will play Virginia Union on November 26th.

Winston-Salem State will be at home the entire month of December, starting on the 1st when they will host Bluefield State University, and then on the fourth the Rams will welcome Claflin University.  WSSU will open the CIAA Play on December 14th when they host the Panthers of Virginia Union and Lincoln University on December 16th. The WSSU Rams will close out 2017 with a home game versus Bowie State on Monday December 18th.

The Rams will hit the road to start 2018, with road game at Virginia State on January 4th, before traveling to Murfreesboro on the 16th to take on Chowan University.  The Rams will travel to Elizabeth City, NC on Monday, January 8th to take on the Vikings in a key CIAA matchup.

WSSU will return to the friendly confines of the CE Gaines Center and begin CIAA Southern Division play versus St. Augustine's University on January 13th, before taking on the Shaw Bears in Raleigh on January 20th.

The Rams will then use a three game home stand to close out the month, with Fayetteville State on January 24th, Johnson C. Smith on January 27th and a new non-conference opponent, Tusculum College on January 30th.

The first two games of February will be on the road for the Rams, as they will travel to Salisbury and Raleigh to hookup with Livingstone College and St. Augustine's on February 3rd and 7th.

WSSU will host Shaw University on the 10th in the CE Gaines Center before traveling to Banner Elk, NC on the 13th to take on Lee-McRae College.

Winston-Salem State will get CIAA Tournament tuneups versus  Fayetteville State on the 17th in Fayetteville and Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte on the 21st, before wrapping up the regular season with a showdown versus  Livingstone College on February 24th.
