Winston-Salem State's Cooper, Billiot Take Home CIAA Honors

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - Winston-Salem State University's Nicholas Cooper and Darrell Billiot have been named CIAA Running Back and Offensive Lineman of the Week as announced by the CIAA Staff this morning.

Cooper had a career night, as the preseason All-American and All-CIAA running back finished the contest with a career high 257 rushing yards and a career high four touchdowns. He also had two catches for 16 yards in the blowout win over Fayetteville State, 56-20. 

Billiot helped lead the WSSU offensive attack, by opening holes for the Rams to finish with 559 yards of total offense, including a season high 448 rushing yards. The Rams had one rusher with over 250+ yards and another with 100+ yards rushing in the win.  

The Rams will host the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls for homecoming 2011, at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday afternoon in Bownman Gray Stadium.
