Men's Golf Finishes Tied For Eighth At Coca-Cola Black College Tournament

ATLANTA, GA - Josh Vogler fired a team-best 72 on Friday afternoon at Browns Mill Golf Club as the Rams finished the 2006 Coca-Cola Black College Hall of Fame Golf Tournament in a tie with Grambling State University for eighth place with a team-total 636.

 

Vogler followed up Thursday's round of 74 with a 72 to post a 146 over the two-day tournament.  He was joined in the 70's by Kenneth Bethea who shot his second straight 77 to post a 154. 

 

Rounding out the WSSU scoring was Steven Mason who shot an 84 for a two-day total of 165 and Jerell Fields who shot an 81 to post a two-day total of 165.

 

The Rams' four-man total of 636 put them in a tie for eighth place.  Bethune-Cookman College won the tournament with a two-day total of 566 with Southern University placing second (576) and South Carolina State earning a bronze-medal finish (582).
