After opening the match with three straight doubles losses, 4-8, 1-8, and 1-8, the Rams took six singles losses to round out the match. WSSU freshman Ian Hunter had the best overall performance of the day with a pair of strong singles games that saw him fall, 3-6 and 4-6. WSSU senior Andrew Jones also had a strong singles showing, falling by scores of 5-7 and 1-6.
The Rams will have a bit of rest before returning to action as the team will next face Guilford College in an afternoon match at 3:00 p.m. in Greensboro, NC. The team will return home for a home match against the 2007 MEAC Champion Hampton Pirates next Thursday afternoon.
