2008-09: Missed the entire indoor season, but had some great efforts during the outdoor season...Got his career off to a great start with a first place finish in the men's 800m run at the 2009 UNC-Wilmington Seahawk Invitational with a 1:54.97 in the event...Had his best 1500m time at the Wake Forest Open with a 3:58.88 to finish 11th...His best finish of the season came at the International Friendship& Freedom Games where he won the men's 1500m Run with a 4:03.60.

Personal: Andrew will return to the the Rams Track & Field and Cross Country team after sitting out the 2008 season, though he competed in outdoor track & field as a true freshman last season... He has shown a great deal of potential as a distance runner and could have a great career in WSSU cross country...He ran a 3:50 in the 1500m run and a 1:50 in the 800m run...He is a native of Eldoret, Kenya where he attended Chebara Secondary School...He is the son of Jane and Peter Chebii.
