Results

GREENSBORO, NC - The Winston-Salem State Rams and Lady Rams track & field teams got off to a fast start to the 2008 International Friendship & Freedom Games, Friday afternoon. The Rams and Lady Rams relay teams took advantage of running on one of the faster tracks on the east coast with a pair of great finishes at Irwin Belk Track & Field Facility inside Aggie Stadium.

The Lady Rams 4x200m relay team placed second in the event with a time of 1:40.78. The Rams 4x200m relay team finished second in the event, behind the United States Elite "A' team. The Rams finished the event in a time of 1:25.88.

WSSU thrower Mark Brown placed fourth in the men's discus throw with a distance of 44.09m (144'8").

The Rams and Lady Rams will return to action on Saturday to complete the event.
