CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams women's basketball duo of senior forward Brionna Pate and freshman guard Amaya Tucker were both honored for their terrific performances this season when they were named to the 2019 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Conference team. Pate was a frontcourt selection while Tucker earned a spot on the All-CIAA backcourt.
Pate brought home the honor after a great senior season. She finished the regular season averaging a double-double 15.1 points and 11.4 rebounds per game. She ranked eighth in the CIAA in scoring and she led the CIAA in rebounding.
Tucker took home the honor after great freshman season. She finished the regular season as the Rams' leading scorer, averaging 15.9 points per game to rank fifth in the CIAA. She also had 72 three-pointers made to rank third in the conference.
The All-CIAA duo will lead the Rams in the opening round of the 2019 CIAA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament, Tuesday when they face the winner of the Elizabeth City State/Shaw women's basketball game.
