February 22, 2016 Fifth-Seeded Rams to Open 2016 CIAA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament vs. #4 Virginia State CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (11-15) will begin the 2016 post-season when the team opens the 2016 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament, Tuesday afternoon. After placing fifth in the CIAA Southern Division, the Rams earned the fifth seed in the division and will take on the Virginia State Trojans the fourth-seeded team from the CIAA Northern Division.
February 22, 2016 Pate Named to 2016 CIAA All-Rookie Team CHARLOTTE, NC – Winston-Salem State Rams freshman guard Brionna Pate was named to the 2016 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) All-Rookie team, Monday afternoon. She was selected to the team by the CIAA basketball coaches and sports information directors. The announcement was announced at the 2016 CIAA Tip-Off Luncheon at the Charlotte Convention Center.

February 20, 2016 Rams Take Hard-Fought 51-49 Senior Day Loss to Livingstone WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (11-16, 6-10 CIAA) gave a great effort, but it was not enough as the team took a hard-fought 51-49 loss to the Livingstone Blue Bears (14-11, 9-7 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Rams played a great defensive game, holding the powerful Livingstone offense to just 51 points in the game, but the Rams could not quite get the points that they needed in the close loss.
February 17, 2016 Turnovers Cost Rams in 77-59 Loss at Johnson C. Smith CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (11-14, 6-9 CIAA) could not seem to get out of their own way when the team took a 77-59 loss at Johnson C. Smith (16-10, 9-6 CIAA), Wednesday evening. Though the team had a solid outing with 59 total points and shooting a solid 42.6% from the floor in the game, the team was hampered by their 28 turnovers in the tough loss
February 13, 2016 Rams Hold On for 61-58 Win at Fayetteville State FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (11-13, 6-8 CIAA) put on a powerful performance when the team took a 71-68 road win over the Fayetteville State Lady Broncos (13-11, 7-6 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Rams took the win behind a breakout offensive performance as they tied a season-high with 71 total points in the game.
