Lady Rams' Season Ends in 4-3 Loss to Saint Paul's at CIAA Championships

DURHAM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams' great 2010-11
season came to an end when the team took a 4-3 loss to the Saint
Paul's Lady Tigers on the final day of the 2011 Central
Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Bowling Championships,
Monday morning. The Lady Rams gave a great effort and battled to
the very end, but faded late against a tough Lady Tigers team.
After taking loss to the Lady Tigers early yesterday, the Lady Rams qualified for the final day of the double-elimination by defeating Saint Augustine's. With the win, the Lady Rams stayed alive to take on the Lady Tigers, Monday morning. The game was a dramatic one with the Lady Rams taking a pair of wins in the first two sets. The Lady Rams took a 150-130 win followed by a 160-158 win in the second set. However, the Lady Rams slowed down with losses in the next three sets. With their season on the line, the Lady Rams stepped up their efforts with a 191-181 win in the sixth set. However, the Lady Rams took a hard-fought 146-133 loss in the final and deciding set of the match.
