Lady Rams Have Strong Showing at MEAC Southern Division Meet

CHESAPEAKE, VA - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (1-14) had a solid day at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Southern Division meet Saturday. The Lady Rams went 1-4 in team competition with a win over local rival North Carolina A&T. The Lady Rams had some high scores at the event. After opening the day with a 864-604 loss to host Norfolk State, the Lady Rams picked up an 841-824 win over North Carolina A&T. The team ended the day with losses to South Carolina State (826-711), Florida A&M (863-697), and Bethune-Cookman (828-699)

WSSU's Keisha Morrison powered the Lady Rams to the strong effort with a team-high 825 total pinfall for the day. She also had the highest game total pinfall of the day for the Lady Rams when she recorded a 214 against North Carolina A&T. The Lady Rams will return to action tomorrow when the team takes part in Baker games play at the event.
