Holloman, Snipes Earn Preseason All-CIAA Honors

CHARLOTTE, NC – One of the early signs of spring hit, Thursday when the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) announced its 2018 Preseason Softball All-Conference team and predicted order of finish. The Winston-Salem State junior duo of second base Jasmine Holloman and designated player Destiny Snipes were both earned spots on the all-conference team. The Rams were picked to finish third in the CIAA Southern Division and fifth overall in the preseason predictions.

The Rams finished the 2017 season with a 16-31 overall record and a 10-6 record in CIAA play. The team placed fourth in the CIAA Southern Division. Holloman and Snipes both earned their honors after great performances last season. Snipes finished last season leading the CIAA with 13 home runs. She also ranked fifth in the CIAA in RBI. Holloman finished the 2017 season with a .318 batting average. She also added 12 doubles with three home runs, and 31 RBI.
