    MOUNT OLIVE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (24-9) could not find any answers for some strong pitching in an 8-0 loss at Mount Olive (30-17), Tuesday afternoon. The Rams were held scoreless for just the third time this season, but the team gave a solid effort.

    MOUNT OLIVE, NC - The Winston-Salem State Rams (24-10) struggled at the plate when the team took a 7-1 road loss to the Mount Olive Trojans (31-17), Tuesday afternoon. The Rams were able to get a run across the plate, but the team could not keep up with the hard-hitting Trojans. 
  • Rams Take a 6-3 Loss at UNC Pembroke

    PEMBROKE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (24-7) staged a late rally, but the effort was not enough as the team took a 6-3 road loss to the UNC Pembroke Braves (16-21), Wednesday afternoon. The Rams had their trademark solid hitting performance, but the team could not get the runs they needed across the plate in the hard-fought loss.

    PEMBROKE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (24-8) played a solid overall game, but the team allowed a big sixth inning that proved costly in an 11-3 road loss to the UNC Pembroke Braves. The Rams took the loss in spite of a solid hitting performance and some spots of great defense.

  • Rams Take a 4-3 Loss at Claflin

    ORANGEBURG, SC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (24-5, 12-1 CIAA) took their first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) loss of the season when the team took a 4-3 loss to the Claflin Panthers (27-13, 13-0 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. After falling behind early, the Rams staged a late rally, but the team fell short in the tough loss.
  • Rams Take a 19-0 Win at Livingstone

    SALISBURY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (23-4, 11-0 CIAA) had one of their best offensive showings of the season when the team took a 19-0 road win over the Livingstone Lady Blue Bears (0-17, 0-11 CIAA). The Rams took their most impressive win of the season as they not only scored 19 runs, they also held the Blue Bears scoreless.
  • Rams Duo Earns CIAA Weekly Honors

    CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams softball team earned a pair of honors after a great week as WSSU junior second base Daijah Chambers was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Defensive Player of the Week while freshman first base Aniyah Jones was named the CIAA Rookie of the Week. The Rams took home the honors after going 3-1 for the week.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (20-3, 9-0 CIAA) played some great defense when the team took a 4-0 win over the Fayetteville State Broncos (3-20-3-6 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Rams got all the offense they needed in the fifth inning as the team cruised to the shutout victory.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (21-3, 10-0 CIAA) had a powerful performance when the team took a 9-3 win over the Fayetteville State broncos (3-21, 3-7 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. After trailing for much of the game, the Rams broke out late with eight runs in the fifth and sixth innings to claim their 12th straight win.

    CHARLOTTE, NC – After leading the Rams to a great week of wins, Winston-Salem State junior Erica Davis was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Offensive Player of the Week. She took home the honor after a terrific week that saw the Rams notch four wins, including two CIAA Southern Division wins.

    CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (19-3, 9-0 CIAA) extended their winning streak to 10 games when the team took a 9-0 road win over the Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls (4-10, 4-5 CIAA), Saturday afternoon. The Rams took the win behind a great offensive showing.

    COLUMBIA, SC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (16-3) broke out for one of their biggest wins of the season when the team took a dominating 14-2 road win over the Benedict Tigers (11-10), Thursday afternoon. The Rams hit five home runs in the game to claim the victory.

    COLUMBIA, SC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (17-3) had another great offensive showing when the team took a 15-6 road win over the Benedict Tigers (11-11), Thursday afternoon. The Rams rolled to their eighth win when the team reached double-digit scoring for the 10th time this season.

    CHARLOTTE, NC – After a strong week of play, Winston-Salem State junior second base Daijah Chambers brought home an honor as she was selected as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Softball Offensive Player of the Week. She brought home the honor after leading the Rams to a 6-2 performance last week, including six wins at the CIAA Softball Round Up.

    ELIZABETH CITY, NC – The Winston-Salem State (15-3, 6-0 CIAA) closed the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Softball Round Up with a bang when the team took a 6-3 win over the Chowan Lady Hawks (5-17, 4-2 CIAA), Sunday afternoon. The Rams took the win behind a strong defensive effort as they scored early and held off the Hawks to claim the win.

    ELIZABETH CITY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (10-3, 1-0 CIAA) opened Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) play with a bang when the team took a 17-2 win over the Elizabeth City State Vikings (0-10, 0-1 CIAA) at the 2019 CIAA Softball Round Up. After taking a 4-2 lead into the fifth inning, the Rams scored 13 runs in the inning and held the Vikings scoreless in the bottom of the inning to claim the victory.

    ELIZABETH CITY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams (11-3, 2-0 CIAA) broke out late to claim a 12-0 win over the Bowie State Bulldogs (0-6, 0-2 CIAA), Friday afternoon. The Rams combined a great offensive effort with some quality defense to claim their second straight Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) win of the season.

The Rams had and early offensive breakout that pushed the team to the win with four of their six runs coming in the first inning of play.

    WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams softball team will have a different location to open the 2019 season as the team’s doubleheader against the Benedict Tigers will be played at the Parkland High Softball Field instead of Twin City Field where the Rams usually call home. The change was made due to field conditions at Twin City Field.

After taking a 0-1 deficit into the sixth inning, the Rams tied the game in the sixth inning and got a walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh inning to claim the win.
