Lady Rams Tennis Blanked By Florida A&M 7-0

SUMTER, S.C. - The Winston-Salem State University women's tennis team closed out action from the 2010 MEAC Tennis Round-Up with a 7-0 loss to MEAC tennis power Florida A&M University as the Lady Rattlers earned straight-set victories in every match.

 

The Lady Rams dropped the doubles point as the Lady Rattlers earned wins in all three doubles matches with Sloane Holmes/Bianka Locklear nearly preventing the sweep as Brittany Dean/Latreece Olagbegi snuck out a 8-7 victory over the Lady Rams' number one pairing of Holmes/Locklear.

 

After earning the doubles point the Rattlers cruised through the singles matches as the Lady Rams fell in straight sets in all six matches.

 

The loss drops the Lady Rams to 4-9 overall while Florida A&M improves to 4-9 overall with the win.

 

WSSU returns to on Monday at 12 noon versus Hampton University.
