Lady Rams Roll in 8-1 Win Over Saint Augustine's at CIAA Round-Up

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (14-1, 7-0 CIAA) rolled to an 8-1 win over the Saint Augustine's Lady Falcons, Friday afternoon. With the win, the Lady Rams opened the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Round-Up with a perfect 2-0 effort and notched their seventh straight CIAA win.
The Lady Rams got things going early, sweeping doubles play with two 8-0 wins and a win by default. The team kept things going with five singles wins. The WSSU trio of freshman Taylor Harris, junior Johanna Nunez, and freshman Carmen Grady all notched 6-0, 6-0 singles wins in the match.
The Lady Rams will return to action tomorrow morning when the team hosts the second day of the CIAA Round Up on the campus of Winston-Salem State University.
