Lady Rams Battle Hard, But Fall Short in Four-Set Loss

CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (0-3) continued to struggle early this season as the team took a hard-fought four-set loss to the Pfeiffer Falcons (3-0). The Lady Rams gave a strong effort in the match, forcing four sets, but came up short in some critical points in the tough loss.

The Lady Rams struggled early in the match, taking a 25-18 loss in the opening set, but the team bounced back to win the second set, 25-23. The team showed a lot of fight in the final two sets of the match, but fell short, 25-20, and 25-23 to end the match.

Senior setter Kiara Brown was named to the 2011 Queens University of Charlotte Invitational All-Tournament team. The Lady Rams will look to bounce back on Wednesday when the team opens home court against King College, Wednesday in at 6:30 p.m.
