CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams volleyball will head into the 2017 season with a lot to prove as the team was picked to finish fourth overall in the 2017 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Preseason Predicted Order of Finish. The Rams were also picked to finish third in the CIAA Southern Division as well. The Rams will be well-prepared, however, as the trio of senior utility Jasmine Smith, senior setter Mya Snow, and junior middle blocker Christa Brown were all selected to the 2017 CIAA Pre-Season All-Conference team
The Rams' trio of preseason honorees represents a talented group of leaders for the team. Snow and Smith both earned first team All-CIAA honors last season. Snow finished the 2016 season ranked fourth in the conference in assists (547) while Smith ranked 11th (359). One of the most versatile players in the conference, Smith also ranked sixth in kills (246). Brown earned her first conference selection after leading the CIAA in blocks (100).
