Personal: Edric Poitier will return to the the Lady Rams coaching staff this fall after a stellar first season with the program. Last season, Poitier made his return to the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) after a six-year absence from collegiate coaching...As head coach at Saint Augustine's, he led the Falcons to four consecutive CIAA championships from 2000-03 and three NCAA regional appearances, advancing to the second round in 2002...During his five-year stint with the Falcons, he compiled a 115-35 overall record and a 99-8 record. He is a three-time CIAA Coach of the Year and currently holds a 77-match winning streak in conference play after three undefeated seasons in conference play.

As a player, Poitier enjoyed a solid career, earning a spot on the Bahamas National team from 1979-1992. He also coached the Bahamas' women's team from 1992-99. During his tenure as coach of the Bahamas Women's Team, he led the team to a pair of gold medals and three silver medals at the Regional Caribbean Volleyball Championships.

Poitier is a 2003 graduate of Saint Augustine's College with a degree in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing a second degree in Sports Management. He is married and the father of three children.
