Lady Rams Take 3-0 Loss at North Carolina A&T

Nov. 14, 2007

Final Stats

GREENSBORO, NC - It was a tough way to end the season as the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (4-26) ended the 2007 season with a 3-0 loss to the North Carolina A&T Aggies (8-25) at the Corbett Sports Center, Tuesday evening.

The Lady Rams ended the season with the same problem that had plagued the team all season long as offensive struggles cost the team their 10th straight loss to end the season. After opening the match with a 20-30 loss, the Lady Rams never quite challenged the host Aggies for the rest of the match falling, 13-30 and 23-30 in the final two games. For the match, the Lady Rams hit a -.064% and had eight receiving errors. The match was one of the team's better outings in terms of digs with 32 team digs in the loss.

Sophomore Lore McBroom led the WSSU offensive effort with seven kills in the match while junior setter Brandie Beane added 13 assists. Freshman hitter Ashley Harris led the WSSU defensive effort with 10 digs in the loss.

With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 4-26 on the season, two wins better than last season and with a better win percentage than last season. With no seniors on the 2007 roster, the Lady Rams will have every opportunity to grow next season.
