Lady Rams Looking to Bounce Back at CIAA Round Up

FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (4-6, 4-2, CIAA) will look to get back to their winning ways when the team heads to Fayetteville, N.C. to take part in the second half of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) volleyball round-up. The Lady Rams had a great performance in the first half of the CIAA round-up with a 3-1 record in Winston-Salem, N.C., but will need to rebound after a three-set loss to the Fayetteville State Broncos, Wednesday evening.
The Lady Rams will need to clean things up as the team committed 22 attack errors along with 23 kills in the team's three-set match against Fayetteville State. For the match, the team totaled a .012 attack percentage. Senior middle blocker Georgette Allen led the attack with seven kills on two errors.
The team will carry a big positive with them into the weekend as sophomore setter Kiara Brown has powered the Lady Rams early this season. Through the first 10 matches of the season, Brown has amassed 283 assists along with 17 service aces, the second-highest total on the team.
The Lady Rams will open the weekend with a noon match against Bowie State and then face the Saint Paul's Tigers at 4:00 p.m. The team will close out the weekend with a 2:00 p.m. Sunday match against Chowan.
