PEMBROKE, NC - The Winston-Salem State University men's and women's cross-country teams posted an impressive showing at the 2007 UNC-Pembroke Cross-Country Invitational on Saturday morning as the Lady Rams turned in a third place finish and the Rams posted a sixth place finish overall.
On the women's side of things, WSSU runner Irene Jeptolo continues to prove she is one of the best runners in the nation as she blew the field away by 31 seconds en route to a winning time of 16:03.57 over the 4000 meter course.

The Lady Rams closed the afternoon with a third place overall showing with 65 points as they fared well against a stiff field.
The Lady Rams' male counterparts posted showings that were equally impressive on the day as WSSU posted a sixth place finish on Saturday behind Brandon Howe's 13th place finish with a time of 21:33.00 over the span of 6000 meters.
Howe was joined by Kenneth Koech who recorded a 17th place finish with a time of 21:52.00 as the Rams finished the event with a sixth place overall showing.
