WSSU's Jeptolo Finishes Fifth at Adidas Raleigh Cross Country Invitational :: Lady Rams place fifth in talented field of teams

CARY, NC - Winston-Salem State junior Irene Jeptolo continued her stellar season finishing fifth at the Adidas Raleigh Cross Country Invitational, Friday afternoon. Her efforts led the Lady Rams to a fifth place team finish in the event, which featured some great teams.

Jeptolo finished fifth in the event with a time of 19:10.00 in the 5,000m event. Not to be outdone, WSSU freshman Ariel Armstrong placed 26^th at the event with a time of 22:12.00 while fellow junior Tomita Ferguson added a 28^th place finish with a time of 22:23.00.

As a team, the Lady Rams finished with a team time of 1:50:24.00 and placed fifth in the event. The team will return to action next Saturday when they take part in the Old Northstate Championships in Pleasanton, NC.
