Jeptolo Takes First Place at Greensboro Cross Country Invitational :: WSSU junior takes third first place finish of the season

GREENSBORO, NC - Lady Ram junior Irene Jeptolo proved to be the best in the field for the third time this season winning the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational. Jeptolo notched a first place finish for the second straight week at Hagan Stone Park after winning last week's Old North State Championships.

As a team, the Lady Rams finished second in the meet to the North Carolina Central Lady Eagles. The Lady Rams posted a team total of 41 points, eight points behind NCCU, but 13 points ahead of the High Point Panthers' 55 points. Jeptolo finished the 5K race in a time of 18:35.00 for the individual win. WSSU freshman Ariel Armstrong continued her strong season finishing 15^th at the meet in a time of 20:34.

The Lady Rams will return to action next weekend when the team heads to Kissimmee, FL to take part in the Walt Disney World Cross Country Invitational.
