COACH RITSCHE ON CHRIST:  “I found Brandon playing amateur baseball in the Greensboro men’s league and talked him into trying to play at the collegiate level last year.  He had some outings where his velocity ran into the upper 80’s and he was “lights out.”  He also struggled in other outings and hasn’t been consistent.  However, I’m confident that his second season working on pitching mechanics with Coach Keith will fix him.  He will provide us with several innings out of the bullpen and some spot starts in the spring.  He gained valuable experience pitching in the Canadian collegiate summer league last summer that he can carry over into this season.”
