He then climbed out and came alive, starting with a road series at Temple, into the next home game against Saint Joseph's a stretch in which he collected 10 hits in those four games, including two doubles and two triples, driving in six runs and scoring eight, to boost his average from .119 to .263 at that point of the season... After two hitless games, on 4/21 against Saint Joseph's and Tuesday at Duke, he had hits in 11 of his last 14 games, pushing his season average from .231 to .280 to end the year... Clemmons collected three hits in that game, reaching base four times and stealing a base in the contest... Had 10 multi-hit games, more than the eight games in which he had just one hit... Was 1-for-1 with the bases loaded and reached base nearly 48 percent of the time as the leadoff batter of an inning, second-best on the team... Record four RBI in six opportunities with a runner at third and less than two out in the inning... Tied for the team lead with 10 sacrifice bunts, beating out one for a hit.
