Rams Fall To Concord Mountain Lions, 10-7 In Game one

WINSTON-SALEM, NC  - In game one, Michael McNamara and John Garcia hit home runs, but it wasn't enough to keep Concord down, as the Mountain Lions came from behind to defeats the Rams 10-7.

WSSU would plate two runs in the second, and exploded for four runs in the bottom of the sixth, and one in the seventh, but it wasn't enough as Concord University would cross the plate five times in the top of the seventh to come away with the win.

For the WSSU Rams at the plate, Michael McNamara finished 2 for 3 with two runs scored and three run batted in and John Garcia went 1 for 3 with three runs batted in and one run scored. Brandon Ford went 2 for 4 with a run scored and a run batted in and Landon Steiner went 1 for 4 with a run scored. Randy Norris went 2 for 4, Willie McRae went 1 for 4 and Emilio Abreu finished 2 for 4 with two runs scored.

Winston-Salem State would end up using four pitchers in the game, with Corbin Easter taking the loss.
