CHARLOTTE, NC – Winston-Salem State University senior forward William Crandell was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Player of the Week, Wednesday. The honor marked the second time this season that he earned the prestigious honor.
Crandell brought home the honor after recording a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds in a 96-79 win over the Claflin Panthers. Crandell was 14-of-15 from the floor and one-for-three from the free throw line.
He was also named the CIAA Player of the Week On November 20th after scoring 14 points with seven rebounds at #17 Morehouse and 20 points with 10 rebounds in the team's first win of the season, a 64-55 win over Fort Valley State in the CIAA/SIAC Challenge.
