CHARLOTTE, NC – The honors just keep coming in for the Winston-Salem State Rams as sophomore linebacker Kalen Allen and sophomore offensive lineman Kendyl Graves were both named Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Football Players of the Week. Allen was honored as the CIAA Linebacker of the Week while Graves was named the CIAA Offensive Lineman of the Week. The honors came in after the Rams' most impressive overall performance of the season in a 31-10 win over the Saint Augustine's Falcons.
Allen led the Rams' defense with a tremendous performance. He finished Saturday's game with six total tackles (four solo) and two sacks while holding the Falcons to just 226 yards of total offense and 10 points in the game.
Graves took home the honor after a great effort by the Rams offense. He was the top player on the Rams' offensive line that put on a dominating performance. Graves graded out at 97% in the game with five knockdown blocks. Behind Graves and the offensive line, the Rams totaled 438 yards of total offense in the game. The team was especially impressive on the ground with 273 yards rushing in the game. The offensive line also only allowed one sack for the game.
