Rams Place Seventh at Fleet Feet XC Invitational

SALISBURY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams men's cross country team got a strong start to the season with some great performances at the Fleet Feet XC Invitational hosted by Catawba College. The team saw some good individual performances to start the season.

The Rams saw some especially impressive performances by the younger members of the team. Freshman Jordan Savoy led the way for the Rams with a 32:36.2 to finish 33rd among scoring runners in the men's 8K run. Junior Ashley Simon added a 38th place finish with a 34:26.8. Freshman Isaiah Fields placed 45th among scoring runners with a 35:36.3. Fellow freshman Dahjon Prince was close behind at 35:50.8 while sophomore Charles Terry added a 35:56.2, and freshman Isaac Phipps placed 48th with a 36:56.5.
