WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams had another great performance on the track when the team took part in the UCS Invitational at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Lady Rams sprinters led the way with some big performances against some of the best teams in the nation.
The highlight of the meet came in the women's 200m dash when Lady Rams freshman Ty-Leah Hampton and senior Nya Michaux took first and second place in the event. Hampton won the event with a 25.19 while Michaux added a 25.33. Junior sprinter Raven Covington also had a great day when she placed fourth in the women's 60m dash with a 7.57 in the event.
Senior Tajanel McNeill continued to lead the way for the Lady Rams in field events when she placed third in the women's triple jump with a 39'1.75" (11.93m).
