Lady Rams' 4x100m Relay Highlights Second Day of Duke Twilight

DURHAM, NC – As the outdoor track & field season winds down, the Winston-Salem State Lady Rams are heating up with some of their best performances of the season in bids for spots in the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field National Championship Meet. The Lady Rams' 4x100m dash continued their stellar season and highlighted a terrific day for the Lady Rams at the Duke Twilight.

The Lady Rams had some great performances on the track on day two of the meet. The WSSU 4x100m relay team highlighted the efforts with a 45.99 to place second in the event, the 15th best time in the nation and an NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Provisional qualifying time. The Lady Rams' 4x400m relay placed second in the event as well with a 3:44.76, also a provisional qualifying time.

Not to be outdone, WSSU senior Tajanel McNeil continued her stellar career with a second place finish in the women's triple jump. She recorded a 12.69m leap in the event.

With the effort, the Lady Rams complete the outdoor track & field season and will await selections for the 2015 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships next week.
