Rams Distance Medley Relay Wins at 2016 SPIRE Team Challenge

GENEVA, OHIO – The Winston-Salem State University Rams indoor track & field team continued their 2016 season with a trip to Geneva, Ohio to take part in the 2016 SPIRE Team Challenge hosted by the SPIRE institute. Though the Rams did not compete in many of the opening day event, the team made its mark when the Rams women's distance medley relay took first place in the event. 

The Rams' DMR team consisted of junior Fazwia Kheir, junior Tametris Morrison, junior Taska Johnson, and sophomore Domtilla Kiplagat. The team won the event, running a 12:17.82 in the event.

The opening day of the meet consisted of the heptathlon, distance medley relay, 5000m run, and the weight throw. The DMR was the only event that the Rams competed in.
