Rams Open 2016 Penn Relays With Strong Efforts

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Winston-Salem State Rams returned to The Penn Relays and the team did not disappoint with some strong performances against some of the top competition in the nation. The Rams' relay team as well as several individual performers brought some great performances at the prestigious meet.

 

WSSU junior Tametris Morrison set the stage for the Rams and the team followed suit with some strong efforts at the meet. Morrison kicked things off when she placed 15th in the women's 400m hurdles, an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time. Junior Lyssa Wallace-O'Neal followed the effort when she placed 24th in the women's shot put with a 41'7" (12.67m) throw. From there, the Rams' 4x100m relay team took the track for a strong effort when they placed 35th in the event with a 47.85. The WSSU 4x400m relay team placed 42nd when the team ran a 3:55.77.
