CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State women's indoor track & field team was rewarded for a great weekend when senior sprinter Ty-Leah Hampton was honored as the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Women's Indoor Track & Field Runner of the Week.
Hampton took the honor after a great week at the 2017 Liberty Kick Off. She highlighted the weekend by winning the women's 200m dash with a 24.77, an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time. She also placed sixth in the women's 60m dash with a 7.74.
Hampton and the Rams will return to action, Sunday when the team takes part in the UNC-Greensboro Dual Meet Madness at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
