Rams Relay Teams Close Out 52nd Annual Berkeley Realty Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – The Winston-Salem State Rams women's track & field team closed out the 52nd Annual Berkeley Realty Colonial Relays, Saturday. There weren't many events on the schedule for the Rams as the meet needed to fit high school teams along with the university division, but the Rams were impressive in the few events in which they competed.

The Rams' relay teams did the bulk of the work at the meet. The WSSU 4x400m relay team had the top finish of the day when they placed 11th in the event with a 3:55.03 while the Rams' 4x100m relay team placed 35th with a 50.741. The Rams closed the day with the distance medley relay, placing 26th with a 12:50.46.

The Rams will return to action next weekend when the team heads to Charlotte, N.C. to take part in the Johnson C. Smith Invitational. For more information on Rams track & field, contact the WSSU Office of Athletic Media Relations at (336) 750-2143 or log on to www.WSSURams.com
