BRADENTON, FL – Winston-Salem State University senior sprinter Ty-Leah Hampton placed 15th in the preliminary round of the women's 200m dash at the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet, Friday afternoon. She ran a 24.03 to place 15th in the event. With the top eight finishers advancing to the event finals, Hampton will not compete in the event finals.
Hampton will return to action, tomorrow when she competes in the finals of the women's 100m dash and in the women's 4x100m relay. The women's 4x100m relay is scheduled for a 5:10 p.m. start while the women's 100m dash is scheduled for a 6:35 p.m. start at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
