CHARLOTTE, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams track & field team continued their strong start to the season with some great performances at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational. The Rams posted three top five performances on the second day of the two-day meet.
The Rams got things started with some great efforts on the track. WSSU freshman Imani Travis continued her great season when she placed fourth in the women's 1500m run with a 5:06.49. Freshman Victoria Porter added a fourth place finish in the women's 400m run with a 58.63.
The Rams also had some great performances in the field events as well. Senior Lyssa Wallace-O'Neal placed third in the women's shot put with a 12.18m throw. Senior Janele Terry tied for fifth in the women's long jump at 4.75m.
