SALISBURY, NC – The Winston-Salem State Rams women's cross country opened their season with a bang when the team placed third in the 2019 Fleet Feet Cross Country Invitational, Saturday morning. The Rams totaled 130 points to place third in the meet against some quality competition.
Winston-Salem State had several quality times and finishes at the meet. Junior Victoria Porter led the Rams, placing 18th among scoring runners in the women's 5K run. She ran a 23:34.8 to lead the way for the Rams. Fellow junior Ojai Brooks came in at 26th among scoring runners with a 24:14.9. Sophomore Keyona Johnson placed right behind her with a 24:23.8.
