Fayetteville, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team lost a heartbreaker of a match on Thursday evening in Fayetteville, NC as the Lady Rams fell in defeat by the score of 3-2 (30-26, 24-30, 16-30, 30-26, 11-15) to the Lady Broncos of Fayetteville State University in Capel Arena.
The Lady Rams jumped out early and secured the first win of the match as they won the first game 30-26. However, unforced errors would pave the way for the Lady Broncos who won the next two games to lead the match 2-1.
To WSSU's credit, the Lady Rams responded with an offensive flurry that netted them a win in game four before dropping the deciding and final game 15-11.
With the loss, the Lady Rams fall to 7-20 on the season and more importantly fall to 5-10 in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
WSSU returns to action on Tuesday, October 11th, at 6:00 pm as they travel to Raleigh, NC to face the Lady Bears of Shaw University.
