Fayetteville, NC - The Winston-Salem State University Lady Rams volleyball team fell to 0-11 on the season on Friday afternoon as they dropped a three-game match to the Lady Panthers of Virginia Union University at the CIAA Round Up in Fayetteville, NC.
WSSU dropped the three-game match in straight sets as the Lady Panthers swept the Lady Rams 30-22, 30-20, 30-19 and left WSSU looking for their first win of the season.
WSSU was led by Kyra Pridgen who tallied a team-high six kills in the match. The Lady Panthers were led by 2004 CIAA Volleyball Player of the Year Michaela Vanakova who recorded 16 kills in the match.
With the win, the Lady Panthers improve to 5-4 overall (4-0 CIAA) while the Lady Rams fall to 0-11 overall (0-3 CIAA)
WSSU returns to action on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM as they face the Lady Vikings of Elizabeth City State in the Lady Rams first of three matches on Saturday.
