Final Stats

Winston-Salem, NC - The Saint Augustine's College Lady Falcons defeated the Lady Rams' volleyball team by the score of 3-0 (30-20, 30-28, 30-22) at Whitaker Gymnasium in Winston-Salem, NC on Thursday evening in CIAA women's volleyball action.

The Lady Rams were swept in three straight games by the visiting Lady Falcons as Saint Augustine's College earned a 30-20 win in game one and never looked back as they closed out the match with 30-28 and 30-22 game wins to secure their ninth victory of the season.

WSSU was led by Kyra Pridgen (Sr./Wilmington, NC) who tallied nine kills in the loss.  WSSU was hobbled by the loss of All-CIAA outside hitter Cherena Douglass (So./Springfield, IL) who missed the game with an ankle injury.

The Lady Falcons were led by Afiya Taylor who recorded a match-high 19 kills.  She was joined in double-figures by Vittorio McDuffie who collected 11 kills in the win.

WSSU falls to 7-16 overall and 4-7 in the CIAA while Saint Augustine's College improves to 9-1 overall (9-1 CIAA) with the win.

The Lady Rams return to action on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 pm when they play host to the Lady Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University.
