HAMPTON, VA – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (18-10) guaranteed their spot in the semifinal round of the 2011 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Tournament when the team took a three-set win over the Livingstone Lady Blue Bears, Friday afternoon. The Lady Rams powered their way to the win with a great offensive performance.

As a team, the Lady Rams totaled 40 kills on 91 total attacks in the match. Junior middle blocker De Ann Smith led the way for the Lady Rams with a team-high 12 kills and three total blocks in the game. Freshman hitter Lauren Aikens also responded with a great effort, totaling 10 kills in the match.
