Box Score WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- The #3 ranked Winston-Salem State Rams are still playing just as Coach Connell Maynor said they would be when the season started. He proclaimed in July that the Rams would be 15-0 and win the NCAA DII National Championship, and now they are just two games away.
But before that can become reality, they must face a tough and road tested Wayne State University Warrior football team (11-3) that will enter Bowman Gray Stadium on Saturday that has won three consecutive road games in route to this NCAA National Semi Final matchup.
For the Rams, the Super Region 1 Champion, they are hosting their third straight playoff game, and have shown no signs of letting up on their quest for the DII title.
Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 pm in Bowman Gray Stadium, the WSSU Rams will face the Warriors of Wayne State University with a trip to the National Title game on the line.
This weekend marks the first all-time meeting between Winston-Salem State and Wayne State.
The game will be televised on ESPN3.com, or can be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 15 in the Peidmont Triad, or 1135 in high definition. Kickoff is set for 2:05 PM (EST).
