Box Score 2 WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Winston-Salem State's Aaron Hatch went three for three with three runs batted in, and Scott Wells picked up his second win of the day on the mound for the Rams, as the Rams won game two of the double header 8-1 to complete the sweep for the day.
The Rams used a big second and sixth inning to blow the game open against the Vikings, scoring three and four runs respectively.
In the second inning, Jacob Barber and Levi Grassley reached base, followed by a double down the left field line by Aaron Hatch that scored Barber. Rafael Gonzalez would send a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Grassley, and Hatch would eventually score on a passed ball.
Elizabeth City would score their only run in the third inning on a rbi double down the left field line by Anthony Perkins.
WSSU would score another run in the fourth, on a Rafael Gonzalez single to left field that would score Colby Keene.
In the sixth, Levi Grassley led off with a walk, before Colby Keene would come up and blast a towering home run to left field. Rafael Gonzalez would single to center field, before being brought home on a Conner Andrus hit/error by the ECSU pitcher. Andrus would score on a Elizabeth City wild pitch.
For the Rams, Aaron Hatch went three for three with three runs batted in a two run scored, while Rafael Gonzalez finished two for two with two runs batted in and one run scored. Alex Grubb, Jacob Barber, Levi Grassley and Colby keens each had one hit, and Conner Andrus picked up a run batted in.
Scott Wells picked up his second win of the day, going 2.0 innings and allowing just one hit.
