RICHMOND, VA – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (3-4, 3-0 CIAA) closed out the weekend in style when the team took a dominating three-set win over the Bowie State Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Rams took the win, 25-21, 25-6, and 25-15. With the straight set victory, the Lady Rams close out a perfect weekend as they won all three matches of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Volleyball Round Up in three sets.

The Lady Rams put on an impressive overall effort in the match as they totaled 31 kills with just 11 attack errors while holding Bowie State to just 13 kills. The Lady Rams also added 10 service aces in the match as well. Senior outside hitter Jenna Baranowski led the way for the Lady Rams with eight kills in the match. Junior right side hitter Olivia Owens added seven kills. Freshman Sydney Holland added a team-high five service aces and led the team with 10 digs.

With the win, the Lady Rams remain a perfect 4-0 in CIAA play, joining Chowan as the only teams to finish the weekend undefeated. The Lady Rams will return to action, Thursday evening when the team heads to Fayetteville, N.C. for a showdown with the defending conference champion Lady Broncos.
