Box Score The #18 ranked Winston-Salem State Rams (1-1) will look to get back on the winning track this week, when they play host to the Golden Tigers of Tuskegee University (1-1) at Bowman Gray Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
Tuskegee is coming off of a 20-12 win over Albany State last week.
This matchup will take place for the second consecutive season, as two of the best HBCU DII football programs battle on the gridiron.
Last season the two team met in the Cleveland Classic, and saw the WSSU Rams take a 35-13 win.
The WSSU Rams opened the season with two straight top 25 games, and must now refocus for another solid challenge from the Golden Tigers.
"We have to regroup and refocus after last week. It was a shock", says first year coach, Kienus Boulware.
"Its been a minute since we've had to regoup after a loss. Over the past few years, that loss meant the end of our season in the playoffs. We did lose the first game of the season last year, then came back to advance to the second round of the playoffs", added Boulware.
"We learned that the team with the fewest mistakes is going to win the game", said Boulware.
