Box Score HAMPTON, VA - The 2015 CIAA All-Rookie Basketball Teams along with their respective Rookies of the Year have been selected by the CIAA Sports Information Directors' Association and Winston-Salem State's Dedric Byrd and Terrell Leach were selected to the team.
Dedric Byrd has played in 19 games and is averaging 2.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. He also has two assists, two blocked shots and two steals on the season.
Terrell Leach is a two-time Rookie of the Week selection, and is averaging 12.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He also has 39 steals, 34 assists and a blocked shot. Leach exploded to a season/career high 27 points versus Fayetteville State on January 24th, where he connected on eight of 15 three point attempts. Leach scored in double figures in 15 games and was a two-time CIAA Rookie of the Week.
Quincy January of St. Augustine's University has been voted 2015 CIAA Men's Rookie of the Year.
