MARS HILL, NC – Emilio Abreau went 2 for 3 with two runs batted in, and Ivan Acuna also went 2 for 3 with a run scored, and John Garcia had a big day, going 2 for 4 with a run batted in and a run scored, as the Rams dropped a 7-3 decision in game one of a double-header versus Mars Hill.

Randy Norris also picked up a hit, as did Trevor Poole, who also scored a run in the loss for WSSU.

The third inning was the undoing for WSSU, as the Rams allowed five runs in the inning.

John Garcia picked up a solo home run for the Rams in the fifth inning.

Kanoa Hironaka took the loss for the Rams, going 5.2 innings, allowing 10 hits and five earned runs, while striking out three and walking five.
