Winston-Salem State University's Volleyball team was presented by the US Marine Corps with a Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) at their home game today. As part of the national partnership with the AVCA the Marines have the opportunity to present Team Academic Awards to winners in person. The Team Academic Awards honor high school, club and college teams who maintain a 3.3/4 or 4.1/5 team GPA. Each award presentation supports the national partnership objective of providing access to coaches of recruitable student athletes to foster relationships that lead to ongoing influencer advocacy. WSSU is proud of the team and all of their hard work. With an overall 3.66, they have achieved the highest team GPA in the Region. Way to go WSSU Rams Volleyball!!
